DJ Rori G. Nelson, Mixxologist
In 1984 I started my training as a DJ, working with other notable Bay Area DJs such as Michael Erickson and Cameron Paul. I quickly learned the art of "mixing & scratching" which I utilized in my own recordings as well as club work. I DJ'd at several clubs from 1988 to 1993 including Studio 47 and DB Coopers. I have also worked at Bay Area concerts (Summer Jam) and made mixes that still get airplay from time to time.
In 1995 RGN Productions was officially organized, and I have had the opportunity to bring my expertise to weddings, anniversaries, reunions, birthday parties, school dances, and other interesting venues. I've traveled in California outside the Bay Area to Redding in the North, Santa Maria in the South, Folsom to the East and Monterey to the West. That's one of the benefits of being a mobile DJ - you call and I pack up my gear and go!
Being a full-time mobile DJ is what I do and who I am. When I'm not at a gig, I'm usually in my studio recording or working on my guitar. Music is my life!
I love meeting new people. I've got the best job in the world - I get to party with people who want to have a good time. My motto is: "Once you hire me - I'm YOUR DJ". That means that I play the music you and your guests want to hear and dance to. My music collection is extensive and covers all genres of music. If I don't have what you want to hear, I'll do my best to find it for you.
