*AFTER THE VOWS...

  • 72% of all brides say they would have spent more time choosing their reception entertainment.
  • Almost 100% say they would have spent more of their budget on the entertainment.
  • During wedding planning, Brides say their highest priority is their attire, followed by the reception site and caterer - reception entertainment is among the least of their priorities. Within one week after their reception, 78% of Brides say they would have made the entertainment their highest priority!
  • When asked 81% of guests say the thing they remember most about a wedding is the entertainment.
  • 65% of all couples that chose a band to entertain at their wedding, said, if they had it to do over again, they would have chosen a disc jockey.

HERE ARE SOME HELPFUL HINTS TO PLAN YOUR WEDDING and RECEPTION:

General Information:

  1. The name of the Bride's and Groom's parents.

  2. Is there any special entertainment during the reception that I should know about? (i.e. Hula Dancer, Belly Dancer, or Band Singer)

Ceremony Information:

  1. What time does the ceremony begin?

  2. How long is the ceremony?

  3. Will the ceremony music be performed by musicians or the DJ?

Reception Information:

  1. Background music for the reception and the dinner. (i.e. Jazz, Big band, Sinatra, or Light Rock, etc.)

  2. Please list the Bridal Party for introductions in this order:

  •  Groomsmen & Bridesmaids

  •  Best Man & Maid or Matron of Honor

  •  Flower Girl & Ring Bearer

  •  The Bride & Groom

Dancing for the Reception:

  1. First Dance

  2. Father - Daughter / Mother - Son

  3. Parents Dance? (optional)

  4. Wedding Party Dance? (optional)

  5. Cutting the Cake

  6. Bouquet and Garter Toss

  7. Money Dance? (optional)

  8. Last Dance

  3. What type of music will be played?  (i.e. special songs, original first dance, other favorites, etc.)

  4. Dinner arrangements and will there be a blessing given?

  5. How many microphones will be needed, if needed?

  6. Any special requests or special dances desired? (first dance, dance with children, toasts to parents, etc.)
